APP Artists had been working for over a month to create the pop up exhibit of earth and art. They used two different types of photo transfer material, emulsion transfer and wheat paste. Emulsion transfer takes the ink of the photo and transfers it to the surface. With this process the texture of the surface can be seen through the photo. Wheat paste is a glue of wheat and water that bonds the photo directly to the surface. The artists planned, created, and installed all of the work in early November. Due to popularity the work remained up one week later than it was originally intended. APP hopes to do something similar to this in the near future.
